Gugu learns in a remote P3 rural school in Midlands Zimbabwe and has just started her period and has no idea what is happening to her body and faced with cultural stigma she feels ashamed to go to school.
Her mother is a widow who survives on less than a dollar a day. “Being a parent, all she wants is to provide for her children and tell them everything will be okay.
Unfortunately, Gugu has to miss school the day her period starts. We invite you to participate in the #I WILL Campaign & make a huge difference to not only Gugu but her classmates as together we will bring dignity, confidence & change the girl child needs.
